Why Heartbeat?

Pacemaker Club has been donating a portion of merchandise sales to Heartbeat International, a charity that provides pacemakers and ICDs to patients in developing countries, for three years.  In the past, some members have questioned why the Club supports Heartbeat International, not a charity that helps patients in the United States. 

Since our members come from all parts of the globe, Heartbeat International is seen a very fitting charity.  Another reason is because Heartbeat International specializes in the donation of pacemakers and ICDs, which is at the heart of the Club. The Founder of the Club is a volunteer Heartbeat International Board member and has seen first hand how lives are being saved.
