Website changes

July 22, 2013

We have been busy making improvements to the functionality of our website.  Here’s a quick recap of the changes that may interest you.

  • A new module has been added to display positive member quotes.  These quotes have been found in older postings and new ones will be added regularly.
  • Members now have the ability to change their username, edit/delete their postings, comments and photos.  Login, and see the Member Menu section (top right menu) to use this functionality.
  •  On your Manage account page, we have expanded the list of manufacturers that you can indicate you have.  We have also made some changes to the default values of optional information members provide when they register an account.
  • In private messages, your most recent messages received and sent will be displayed first.  This will make it easier for you to manage and read your messages.
  • Our system will no longer automatically log-out members after 45- minutes of inactivity.  This has resulted in some members losing longer messages while they were trying to post. You will remain logged-in until you log-out or our browser is closed.

To get the most out of the site, we encourage all members to use the latest version of their browser.  We are also planning to launch a mobile-version of the site and improve Chat this Fall.  Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback on the site.  The changes incorporated have resulted from your comments.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
