Has anyone heard of any problems with lap-tops running on battery and with a wireless connection causing any problems.
I was sitting with mine on my lap last night and felt an unusual hot flushing feeling on the side of my implant and up into my neck and face. Perhaps it was just coincidence?
Went away after I stopped using the lap top on battery.
The little wireless connection is on the same side as the pm.

Hi Lizzie,
I use my husand's laptop on occasion and have never had a problem with the wireless connection. I also have the wireless router right above my desk top computer facing me in my home office and again no problem. If you keep any electronics at least 6 inches from your pacer as mfgs recommend, there should not be a problem.
However, I do notice that the laptop gets very hot on my lap when I'm using it that way...and maybe that is what happened to you...the flushing feeling was simply heat transfer from the laptop.

I only ever use a laptop and I've never experienced any problems.

i get funny feelings or makes my heart like flip or flutter or something. also chest pain---if the computer is old or malfunctioning in some way.
i use to get them each time i checked my email on an old laptop i had so i started draping a heavy thick towel over the shoulder where my pacer was located. that helped. but i couldnt stay on for a long time.
now i have a new one i bought in april---and no problems.

Thanks Helen , I now have a better idea of what is happening to me :-) I just won't spend so much time at a stretch in front of my lap top, it is my main connection to the net but the good thing is this will make me move off of it and do something else a little more often! :-)
