It's been a bit warm in Arizona as many of you are aware. I seem to be having more difficulty coping with the heat this year than ever before, and attributed it to my heart condition. However, I am beginning to suspect that may not be the case.
Earlier this morning, I heard a persistent knocking on my back door, and when I opened it, there stood my two desert tortoises, dancing on tip toe trying to keep from burning their feet and begging to come into the air conditioned house. While it may sound cruel I didn't let them in because they terrorize Psycho and Assassin cats. A bit later, I found a Gila Monster upside down in the yard languishing with heat stroke, and I heard on the local mid-day news even the camels in the zoo were suffering and no longer able to go 7 days between drinks.
The worst part, I think my ICD is over heating. Anybody know where the coolant refill is and what brand is best?

How's a frozen Marguerita sound? Or an ice cold brew.....and don't forget to save some for yourself after you've cooled down your ICD...(-:

You may have more problems coping with the heat now that you have an ICD. There have been reports of excessive conditions - such as you've been experiencing in Arizona - causing shorts
and tank tops to bulge. The solution is rather simple. Turn to the cooking channel. It's most likely watching those re-runs of Bay Watch that causes the overheating. The rest - animals and all - are figments of your mind trying to explain away the situation. Come on! Turtles are terrible dancers and that's the way all gila monsters react to BW re-runs. As for the camels? They're on their way to rehab.

Or should I be saying ha ha ha ahhhhhhh (let me catch my breath) ha ha ha....
The dancing tortoises thought they were in Vegas and the Gila Monster, found upside down in the yard, thought he was Down under! As for the camels.... who knows what they were thinking when they decided to hold out for a cold Budlight!
For an ICD coolant please use the opening that is just under your little nose... fill until it feels full and then swallow. Repeat at least a couple of times. The brand is strictly a personal choice and there are many wonderful flavors to choose from. Also Patch, please cover your head when you go out to check on the animals.... I think the sun might be getting to you.
hugs to you,

patch we are freezing this summer when it is usually around 100 by now. instead the pool is a high of 71. i go in but i do it by flopping onto my tube with the headrest and then enjoying the sun. i fell in and missed the tube a few times and that was a sight for sore eyes. so if i can save enough for insurance we will go to florida in feb and march.we hate the cold here and it was a brutal winter in rural s.w.ontario. for drinks here we are into lemonade and splenda which i make myself as we are both just getting out of rehab. just kidding.our cat buford is a one man band and hates other cats even his brother who lives across the street. oh here i am rambling in my doterage again. have a wonderful sleep and a nice day in a few hours. your friend jessie p.s. i am losing weight on the shouldice reducing diet from the shouldice clinic in totonto for hernia repair. my friend's husband has a hernia and needed to lose weight before the surgery. it is great to follow.

That's called "heat response". Just like "rate response" only worse. Our jack rabbits have it on. When it gets hot they jump higher in the air.
It was 108 here today, but only 8% humidity.
