Exercise Caution...
Posted by Cabg Patch on 2009-08-05 14:58

My friends, we all know that many co-members offer advice here, and while I'm sure they are well meaning and would never intentionally inflict harm on others, use some caution when following that advice.

Awhile back there was some discussion about physical exertion and exhaustion, I recall it was walking up stairs. Someone suggested that you pause at the bottom of the stairs, beat on your chest like Tarzan and then proceed up the stairs. The prevailing theory being that action would alert your pacer to physical exertion and rate response would kick up the pace so to speak.

So being the dutiful member and trying to follow the gracious advice of my highly respected co-members, immediately before some physical exertion, I stood up, beat my chest vigorously, then sat down to take care of business.

Let me just say the danger in this is that if rate response is set too high, it can result in an explosive situation.

Use care with rate response and bathrooms...

Hello Patch! Today has been a long one. I visit here to see what is going on with my pacer friends and I read about exercise! he he.... You make me laugh.

I was going to complain.... but you know what? It just doesn't matter. I would rather laugh at your funny stories. I know that we each one have troubles... some more than others.... but I think I will read your post again and laugh out loud. It feels so good! My working for myself is almost a realization! Tomorrow is the last day with the dr! I just need to hang in there just one more day!!!!

i always add this worked for me but please check with your physician prior to any advice at this site. right now things are going well with me. i flew out west for one day and back but what else do i have to do? i returned our grandchildren to the west just above montana to their new home. they like it and all i saw were smiles. that is what is important as far as i am concerned. it was beautiful here to-day and not a cloud in the sky. on my front lawn my husband planted tomatoes. they are ripening and there are many. it looks a bit odd to me but at least it is a conversation piece. well people good night and god bless all jessie

You could accidentally thump your wires and or pacemaker. The same result should be attainable with a rocking side to side motion. Cheers Peter

What about

If you have a stair lift then bang your chest, drop into chair, it whips you up the stairs, and there waiting is for the chicks George Clooney or Hugh Jackman, my favourite, and for the chaps Cameron Diaz or JLo. Would the rest going up the stairs cover for the excitement once there. I am sure also if wires have been dislodged in the meantime the rewards would take your mind off it. Just a thought.
