I was very saddened to hear that working with or even wearing magnetic hematite could interfere with my pacemaker/defibrillator. Some of those magnets are pretty strong. Not sure about magnetic clasps on some necklaces and bracelets.

When I first became interested in using magnetic hematite, I checked over several bead sites. There was a caution on them about not using megnetic beads if you were pregnant. I knew I was going to have this procedure, so before buying the beads, I decided to ask my doctor. I was told not to use or wear them, but that I could use non-megnetic hematite instead.
