Don’t tell me Doctors aren’t in it strictly for the money. They keep us alive until they’ve squeezed us for all our money by misdiagnosis and continuous repairs. If you doubt me then explain why so many people here have been brought back from the dead, but the doctor who performed the resurrection can’t even repair a simple electrical problem.

I think you might be being a tad harsh on doctors. The real blood suckers are the lawyers (and perhaps a few hospitals here and there). Then again we also have our representatives and senators and they're a bunch of crooks also-when they say they are going to do something for me, I do two things, cover my wallet and my butt as I know where they are going. Now that you mention it, everyone is basically a crook out for blood money-ever get a Lexus fixed? What you really want is someone that just wants a bit less money than the other guy (gal).

Beyond all that, is there a specific concern?

i totally agree. some more than others. dentists too . you can just see them counting the bucks as they look in your mouth.on a lighter note patch this a.m. on an island off the coast of saudi arabia our son is a u professor. he dressed for work in the dark as the hydro had gone out. nothing seemed wrong till he got to the university and looked at his suit realizing it was black and he has no black suits. he said miraculously it fit but it wasn't his.. soo obviously the cleaning got mixed up. i laughed every time i thought of it. jessie

i can vouch for that

the lawyers are the biggest crooks. my youngest brother is a retired lawyer and he has the first nickle he ever had. go figure eh?well we don't have pile of money but what we have is fading fast..... we did have until all this lying and stealing went on a year ago so don't feel bad. we buy our own ice cream at loblaws price cutter instead of the ice cream store. i myself chose to have good friends whom i love and aslo most relatives. we ahve no way of recouping so we are all going back to our roots. lol love, jessie

Over my many years on this good earth, I have met many people. The minority of the "thieves" in their professions, no matter what title or position, high or low in rank, are the very ones who give the majorities of good, honest people a very bad reputation. How sad.

Families & friends, have literally come and gone, both by choice and death. My BP use to be high and rising because of some of the "acrobatics" of my families and/or my friends. Now, my feelings are, my life is much more near the "short" end, than the beginning end of my life, that I tend to, do what I heard someone say one day. God said you had to like everybody, BUT, he did not say you had to like them!

I cherish my families who give me moral, loving support, even when I am wrong and my true friends, who I love, are still with me, when I am right or wrong.

Too bad the world is "blessed" with all the "minority" crooks and bad guys because they "clone" themselves and re-appear for generations.

Hope everything works out for you ones who have been "ripped" off and "stolen" from. Love and big Hugs to all of you ~ Carolyn G. in TEXAS

Could not even get my words right the first time! In the second paragraph, in the last sentence, my words should have been, "God said you had to love everyone, BUT, he did not say you had to like them", as in God says love all the people ( he did not say you had to like them).

Sorry ~ Have a great holiday ~Carolyn G. in TEXAS

I agree that the new corporate world we live in is a me, me, me, enviroment.........But since I was let go 34 months ago, my EP is checking me for free........ YES ......I said for free.......my insurance deductible alone is $5,000 a year......he said when I have met my deductible, he will start charging me again, I told him unless something drastic happened I wouldn't meet the deductible.....he said don't worry, he will still see me.....but my other doctors haven't volunteered their services....they still have their hand out.......and complaining every time I go there, how over worked and under payed they are.......You get the good with the bad.....too bad so few good people left in this world.

Sorry, I meant I was let go 4 months ago......good thing I'm not a proof reader......I forgot to mention I was the Senior Project manager for a construction company who builds UPS stores.......The owner of the construction company is also the area Franchise owner for UPS....I smell conflict of interest......anyway he let me go when my cardiologist said I should file for disability....and that I was at VERY high risk for Sudden Cardiac Death......the owner said he didn't want any phones calls about me dying on the job, handed me a severence check and hasn't called since.....We've been friends for almost 15 years....I guess he really wasn't my friend huh?......

bad in everyone and it's awful when the bad ones are doctors, lawyers or any professionals we depend on. But there are many, many good ones too and hopefully we all have a good one and if not, time to change!

Talk about money making people? What about the drug companies and the drug detailers that bombard the doctors's offices like pariahs. No one has mentioned them.....

Greediness?

We could go round in circles forever about this one but when we get sick who do we call, the plumber or a mechanic? Of course not! We call our doctor. Then we expect him to see us immediately in his office without any waiting time whatsoever. We want every possible medical test run and the perfect drug to cure us with no side effects. We want the best from our doctors but we want it free or cheap. Do any of us do our jobs free? Of course not. Doctors have office expenses, equipment upkeep, the electric bill, and salaries to pay. They have families themselves to feed and house and educate just like we do. And whether we like it or not we have to pay them for their medical expertise, diagnostic skills, and their time and trouble. Somebody's going to jump in here shortly I'm sure and contradict me but our doctors have skills and knowledge we don't have even if we do frequent WebMD, and we have to pay for that.
