Antitheft Devices Are Safe

Yes, you may go through anti theft devices without worry.
Occasionally you may find one that will make you feel about the same as you feel when a magnet is placed over your pacemaker during a checkup (for me that feels like my heart skipped a beat), but don't worry. As soon as you get a few feet away from the device your pacemaker will return to normal operation and no harm will have been done.
I will add you will find there are very few things that will have a lasting effect on your pacemaker. Pacemakers are not nearly as fragile as the literature we receive indicates. So enjoy your pacemaker and don't worry.
Welcome

Welcome to the forum.
I work around all sorts of electronic equipment and machinery without problems. So far I have never set off an alarm either.

It's OK to go through, but go through quickly. If the alarm rings just show them your pacemaker card.
