Vein Swelling
Posted by Pelelives on 2009-12-31 23:40

6 weeks post PM and I am noticing what seems to be vein swelling above the incision where the leads went in. Has anyone else had this? It is sensitive, not painful, to the touch. Not sure if it is something I need the surgeon to check out. Thanks and Happy New Year to All!!!

perhaps you should have it checked by your doctor.

Swelling could be a sign of infection, you never know, so if I were you, I'd make an appointment as soon as possible.

Better safe than sorry,

Good luck,

Hi,
Do you still have a prominent vein above your incision? I second Pookie's recommendation which is better safe than sorry--get it checked out. The number one issue for stuff around the incision is infection ... why risk it? It may be nothing but if it is infected, the earlier you detect the problem, the better.
Good luck!
