Hi all :)
Last nite I had a interesting nite and would like to know if any of you have experienced this... I have had ny PM for 2 months
I decided to lay on my left side to see if I could becuz my arm is till numb.. anyways, I did and boy I felt something going on and turned right back on to my right side.. so I had a racing heart and nausea and dizzy... I thought I was going to have to go to the ER.. finally things settled down.. but I don't feel so good this morning... has this happened to anybody else? is it not okay to lay on the PM side??? would like to hear from you if you have gone thru this.. I will call my Dr on Monday.
Thanks again

Hi Breezy,
I always sleep on my left side. I was afraid to do it after my surgery. It's been 18 mos but I do recall getting dizzy once when I tried to sleep on my left side early on. Something just didn't feel right. It took some time but I'm finally sleeping normal. I didn't feel as lousy as you did though. It's good you're calling your Dr.
I'm sure things will work out fine,
Bob

The numb arm is a sign something isn't right. Sounds like a pinched nerve or blood vessel. There is nothing associated with a pacer that should cause your symptoms.

actualy the Dr knows about my arm
maybe numb is not the right word for me to use
it has feeling in it.. but it is slow to come back
sometimes it has a prickly feeling..and it is not my whole arm..just near the top... at any rate I am calling the Dr tomorrow,,becuz of all the little stuff going on
my husband thinks it is me being anxious about all this
and I do sleep on my tummy.. it is just on my left side that seems to be a little touchy...
thanks again for your replys

I understand what you are saying....I got my PM in April 2009...I often cannot lay on my left side in bed but for maybe a different reason. It seems like I trigger something in my PM when I lay on that side, and I can feel the punches and twinges of it kicking on. It happens almost every time I lay on my left side. My EP didn't know why it would happen...I had a theory that I was pinching something off, but have no idea. Strange things happen sometimes!!! Call your doctor...see what they have to say!
