Hello all,
I was wondering how many people out there recieved there pacemakers at a very young age and have lived almost their entire lives with a pacemaker.
Personally I was 10 and a half months old when I recieved my first pacemaker and the only people I really know that have pacemakers other than myself are much older or very new to having an implanted pacemaker.
Just wondering maybe there are some interesting stories out there that other people would enjoy reading about.
Love the site, cant believe I just found out that there is a site out there like this.

I received my first PM when I was 3, since then I have had more than 10. In the beginning, I had a single chamber and after I turned 30 they changed me to a dual chamber PM. I have found new ways of life, new things that you can do, and several fun things that can occur while having a PM.

I had my first pm put in on my 6th birthday, had my second place in 2001 2 days after my birthday ( what luck). my pacemaker is 9 years old now. i still have my original leads but they said i will most likely have them replaced the next time around (any time now). im 23 years old now. and a lot of questions started running through my head lately. nice to find a place where there are people like me.
p.s. i really need help. please read post under checkups and settings.
thank you,
heather (mnemama)
