Under the influence?
Posted by pacergirl on 2010-01-23 11:13

Hello to all in Pacerland,

I was just reading some of my recent postings and I have to say that I am amazed that anyone can fully understand what I was trying to say.

I find it very disturbing that I have left out words, spelled words in ways that leave a lot to the imagination and used words that don't belong.

All I can say is that I hope you will forgive me, as I have been on some very strong medications for pain this last week. Odd thing is that I thought that I was doing just fine! ha ha What a joke. Maybe I should write all my postings and comments in Microsoft Word to check my grammar and spelling before I post it.

If I have offended anyone, I hope you will understand... I have been under the influence of drugs.

The bottom line though is that I care very much about the wonderful people here and wished to stay in touch.

Take care
Pacergirl

p.s. there was one time that I even spelled my own username wrong!

I don't think you should worry. You have been in my prayers and I am under the influence of some strong medications also. It's no fun not being aware completely of what you are saying. Thinking of you dear!

Love,
Tammy

don't worry, seriously. we still luv yah.

It would be nice if there was a spellcheck here, perhaps some day.

I think it was Smitty once who said that he types his responses using Open Office Writer or something similar, then uses the spellcheck, then when he's sure it's perfect, he just copies and pastes his response; what a great idea.!!!!

I too am on heavy duty narcotics (Dilaudid) and have been for well over a year...and you wouldn't believe how long it takes me to compose a simple email. Even to this day when I speak, I'm all backwards.

The main thing is: you are a very supportive and caring member here and for that we all appreciate your presence. The other main thing is: take it easy and please recover from that awful fall you took.

Hugs,
Pookie

on alot of meds too, pacemaker last 90 days, backout/seizures still continue, eyesight comes and goes got new lens then had to go back to old ones then back to new ones it is very frustrating, spelling and sometimes jumbled words memory is a wreck used to be photographic, hearing is very bad and ringing in ears is terrible, sometimes read things and i read them 3 times to make sure it says what it says, then the fourth time I actually see what it really says what is printed on bottle sign or paper, anyone else having this??? amiordorne,lycentripil,coreg,4 asprins, crestor some days forget to take meds, also real bad leg cramps have had to cut back crestor to stop them.

coreg and amiordorone side effects say eyesight, ringing in ears and memory loss.

Hi Tammy! Girlfriend it is so nice to know that I am not alone :-) We are always telling other pacers that they aren't alone and now it is time for us to listen to out own advise. he he My hubby keeps saying "Susie... better living through chemistry!" then hands me my medication. I am doing better and requiring fewer pain meds. it isn't a good idea to take those too long. I'm thinking of you too.
