Hi Pacer,
Long time not to see this site due to my work.
I came back here to request your advise for the situation faced to me.
I am an Instrumentation Designer from Indonesia (South East Asia), I've scheduled to visit our home office in England and stay there for 3 month from March till June 2010.
1. Anybody here has experience do long flight with high altitude? Is it safe enough for passenger with pacemaker?
2. Is there still extreme winter in England on March? I have Sinusitis and could not withstand on low temperature environment.
Regards,
Gandara

No worry about the flight

I have flown Non-stop from New York to Tokyo a couple of times, (13 hour flight, I think) and regularly fly NY to London (my original home). It has no effect on your pacemaker.
As to winter temperatures in England: it does not really suffer from extremes, having a cool temperate climate, but will be colder than you are accustomed to. March can be unpredictable, so I suggest you check somewhere like the BBC Weather website page for average temperatures. Bear in mind, it does not get arid, so even if it is cold, it will be comfortable (I never had sinus discomfort there, only here in the northeast USA, where winters are very dry).
Good luck with your assignment: it sounds like a great opportunity.
I hope this is helpful.

Just a comment on the English weather- expect March to be cool and damp, should be warmer by June.
Just be sure to pack your waterproofs.
You haven't said where in England you are going however here is the link to the BBC weather which gives the average weather for London.

I have cruised & travel to London twice this past summer.. I got along just fine. At airport tell them you have a pacer. Ask for a pat down - no walking threw the archway.
No wanding for the TSA may try to use the wand from waist down but nothing but pats.
Carry your card & a letter from your doctor sure helps.
I visited the Queens palace & she was in residence that day. I held up the line for the guards didn't want to accept my card or doctors letter. They called my Cardologist. People were screaming for the line was backing up.
But that's life....
