Heart Block 3 + PVCs = Rythmol?
Posted by PM4LIFE on 2010-01-27 18:25

I am wondering if anyone has experience adjusting to Rythmol (Propafenone HCL) to control PVCs? I was started on Rythmol seven (7) weeks after my PM was installed. The Cardio stated that I must control the PVCs with this Rx or imminent death may occur. I started slowly to let my system get used to it. I have been gradually increasing my dosage but now I'm wondering - maybe someone with experience can give me a better understanding and hope?

Hi,
I'm a nurse and I know a little about the drug. First I need to know how much you are on and if you are experiencing any side effects. Rhythmol is a drug that controls certian types of arrhythmias especially PVC's. I was on it briefly, but I have bradycardia and it unfortunately didn't agree with me. I would suggest that if you are concerned you speak with your doctor again and ask him/her if he has any literature that might help you.
