Hey,

I'll be starting Multaq on Wednesday. The dosage is 400mg twice a day: one tablet with your breakfast and one with your evening meal.
Don't know about atenolol. If you are taking atenolol for your arrhythmia you might not need it anymore when taking Multaq as Multaq is a multi-channel-blocker and has a betablocker component.

Would be interested to hear how you are tolerating the Multaq.

Best wishes
Inga

Nurse might be right

The nurse might be right because Multaq and Atenolol could possibly interact by potentializing the effect of each drug taken srperately. But...I would never listen to a nurse because a doctor might have very good reasons for wanting someone to be taking both.

Update multaq

you could ask a pharmasist they did go to school for drub interaction. Or ask or call your doctor. Just my two cents worth. Nurses tho do know alot more than some people give them credit for knowing.
