Thanks to all who answered my question about airport security. Since I haven't flown since getting my new "little friend" in my chest, I was a bit apprehensive, but you all have made me more comfortable about facing the big bad TSA people.

Airports

I have had my pacemaker for 4 years now. I Have not had one problem in the airport. Pending on the airport you usually have to go to a specific line. When in line tell them you have a pacemaker. They have a special gate you go through, and then they pat you down from head to toe. It is a little more of a pain and may take longer than the person you are flying with, but it is harmless. I fly at least 3 times a year. The only thing I didn't like was when I went overseas to Ireland. Had to go through customs and it took a lot longer than my husband but he was patient and it worked out ok. The only thing I don't like is that you have to leave your belongings on the machine until you are done being patted down. I hope you have a great time on your trip!
