More Precipitation Ahead
Posted by heartu on 2010-03-11 10:59

I live in southeastern PA and we are supposed to get about 3 inches of rain (if that were snow it would be about 36 inches - we had a 36 snowstorm in fact back in January 1996) over the next 2 days.

The last 2 snowstorms that we got in Feb amounted to more than 30 inches total. That has practically all melted. I am sure once the weather makes a 180 I will be complaining about the heat and drought.

We did have 3 beautiful days of sunshine with temps around 60 degrees. I guess I am just a warm weather gal. I am trying to convince my husband to move to a warmer place once he retires, which will probably be in about 14 years.

We do love the notheast corridor, Maine, NH, Ct, etc, but don't think I could deal with the cold winter months.

How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

Hi Heartu: I was born and raised in Michigan so I can
empathize with you regarding the cold weather and the
snow. When my family moved to Los Angeles in 1968,
my older brother and I moved out here a year later and
I have truly become a Californian.

Today our temp is supposed to reach 72 with each day
going a little higher until by Sunday or Monday we will be in the 80's. If I could I would send you much warmth
and sunshine but, since I cannot I pray you will get to
move to a warmer climate upon your husbands retirement.

Until then just remember we are blessed and highly favored each day that God allows us to see another day and live to the fullest with our PM's. I have an ICD and
I truly thank God for blessing me and sending me 3 of
the best doctor's, whom have walked me through
learning to live "wired". As my siblings call me the bionic woman.

Take care and have a wonderfully blessed day.

Blessings,
Blessed One

A bit rainy in Cincinnati, but in the 60's.
I don't mind as long as the white stuff isn't around!!!
Spring is here!!! Birds chirping, crocus's & daffodils beginning to bloom.
Life is good. :)

In PA too

We've had three absolutely gorgeous warm (but not too warm) days. Spring fever has definitely hit me! Still gorgeous today, but lots of rain predicted starting late tonight. I'd soooo much rather have rain than snow!

Rain will force me to get all the stuff done inside my house that I've been putting off, because I've been spending every spare minute outside!

Forgot to ask. I'm in southeast PA, too. Right over the Maryland border.

I'm in Newtown,Pa not far from the Delaware River. Yep, not far from the infamous "George Washington crossed the Delaware" site. About an half hour north of Philly.

The New Jersey shore, here!

We're expecting about 4 inches of rain and I'm starting to build an Ark in the back yard. We had a winter total for our three snow storms of 62 inches. UGH!

Stay dry all!

Formerly a "Jersey girl" now a PA pacer chick.
We live near the Amish.....that's a trip, LOL.

I too would rather have the rain and not the snow. Farmers are tilling and baby lambs are all over the place....so Spring is coming...keep our fingers crossed. And the rain will clean everything up.....
