At night?

Hi franko, I've heard that magnesium has a relaxing effect to it so it's best to take at night. HOWEVER, I take mine in the morning, lol. I guess if you have a hard time sleeping then try taking it at night.

Hello Franko,

A lot depends on how much and what form of magnesium you are taking. Magnesium sulfate (Epsom Salt) is given as a magnesium supplement and as a laxative and magnesium hydroxide is used as an antacid or laxative.

There are other forms of magnesium a person can take, but regardless, IF IT WERE ME and considering the potential for the need to make a quick trip to the bathroom I would take it in the morning before breakfast.

Of course, as always, your doctor is your best source for information on when and how to take any medicine.

Good luck

Smitty

I take a calcium/magnesium supplement. I take it on a full stomach after dinner. No problems or side effects.
