Understandably concerned about the effect a full body scan
at the airport, might have on my PM I contacted Medtronics (the Mnfr. of my device)

The answer I got was that if the wall of the scanner is more than 6 inches away from the PM there should be no adverse effect on the device.

Thought I would pass this on to you all----at least I feel that I have the official OK.

 

 

I don't care if I would be 6 inches away - this body isn't going through the scanner - I have also noticed the scanning people are not very careful when you go through this. I travel alot and I will not ever choose the full body scanner. Good luck.

Just show your pm card, dont wear loads of clothes, ive never had to have the scanner. However, as a prison teacher I've been through the scanner hundreds of times, never had a problem.
