Has anybody ever had this experience with the icd pacer.
I have a St. Judes V268 dual chamber icd.
I started feeling this vibration feeling in my arm, and under my arm to the pacer. I was sitting at a desk using a computer when I started feeling this sensation. The left arm was up on the desk when I first noticed this sensation, It felt like a cellphone was on vibrate and it was vibratining at the pacer site and radiated to my elbow. Sorta like a humming feeling and sensation. It lasted several hours. At first I thought it was my imagionation., Then , my husband felt it and confirmed it wasnt all in my head. I did go to the ER, and ended up being admitted and stayed 2 days while they tried to figure out what was up and there was a real problem with my icd device.
The St Judes Rep came and checked it, and everything seem to be in order, in fact it never registred that it had done that vibrations thing. ?? Does anybody know what this was ? and Has anybody ever experienced it?? HELP .. Its just so confusing. and something to worry about that I dont need to.

I have had the thing a couple of times. I do not know what it is either. I have a St. Judes also. I am waiting to speak with my Interrogator person in August. Mine has only happened a couple of times and they can not seem to understand mine either. When I go in they can not find anything wrong. I hope you find out what it is. If you do could you please send me a message or post it? Thanks and good luck!
I will say a prayer for a quick decision and no other problems.
Rev Chuck
Don't worry

About a year ago, I had not only vibrations, but the muscle on my PM just pulsated in rythm with my heart.
To make a long story short, in the Clinic where they put the PM said it was not uncommon: a nerve "couples" with one of the leads.
They solved it changing the polarity of the lead.
Bye and all the best
Good morning

I was on here to ask about the same type of sensation. It is not a bothersome thing really. no pain or anything. But I do feel the mini vibrations. Now I know I am not alone. I will be talking to my cardiologist (he loves to answer questions and offers a sort of contest to see how many each patient can ask. (101 is the highest at one time). My pm is just under 2 years and this just started a week or so ago. When I fine out, I will be glad to share. Ann
good afternoon

Thanks Ann, Glad I am not alone also. My pm is 3 years old nov 06, I had mine put in at the Cleveland Clinic. I go in Aug to get this checked out.
Did u notice that other comments about the polarity of the icd in the above comments.
One of the techs from the st judes 1800# , said , it could be electrical interfereance of some sort in the building I work in. Like a lot of computers and wireless networking causing interfereance. Guess, since its man made they just cant pinpoint exactly. Personally, its working still so thats the important part. Let me know what you find out too.
Vibrations Can Indicate Need for Battery Replacement

I have a St. Jude ICD V-365. Several days ago I woke up at 5am with a humming vibration coming from my ICD. It lasted for about 2 seconds twice in succession. Did not pay too much attention to it. It happened again at dinner and, unfortunately, my wife heard it and off to the ER we went! After 5 hours and many tests I was told to contact my cardiologist the next day since they could find nothing wrong. When my device was tested, a pop-up on the computer screen said I was ready for a battery replacement. I was very unhappy they did not warn me about these vibrations. It would have saved me a trip to the ER.
