The folks on this board have different diagnosis and symptoms. I have DCM (dialated cardiomyopathy) and a very low EF (ejection fraction) number. I was symptom free and then went downhill after diagnosis. I'm a little better and I seem to have stabilized a little. I still have good days and bad days. Some with my diagnosis have done better as their EF has improved. The meds we have to take sometimes cause us to feel lousy and eventually our body gets accustomed to the meds and they do their job and we get better. Sometimes in spite of the best doctors and meds, some of us have bodies that don't respond. If you had the crt implant mid-May, give it more time for you and your body to adjust; talk to the doctor..and to his nurse. Sometimes the nurses can give you more information than the doctors. Don't give up hope yet. How long since you were diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and what meds are you on?

Thank you for your comment...It helps.......

I have a low EFand got CRT..I have DCM also, that is why I got the CRT....Like I said ,Got it May 13th 2010....slowly getting better...I am on oxygen from 1 half to 1 fourth now since the CRT PACEMAKER....I have read that it can take severaL months to get better.....Here is what happened.....got open heart surgery July 31 2009...bi pass...was fine after that was not on oxygen....got staph infection, opened me up and cleaned sterum ect left it open for a week to watch and than shut me back up sept. 7th a month after first operation.....after that I needed oxygen....was on antibiotics for 9 months...till begining of April 2010.....Than got the CRT.....I think because of the staph ,that is why it is taking longer.....I go to the Cardiologist and pace maker clinic july 14th and 16th Thank you for the comment to Zeke...Wondering
