PM's v. Contact Sports

I don't know your level of risk so it is always difficult to answer questions like this. If you had no underlying heart rhythm of your own if your pacemaker was to fail then obviously you would be at higher risk ... but if you have the very rare occasional pause of 2 seconds say ... then you would be at lower risk. High risk and contact sports ? If it was me ... I'd re-assess my life priorities and change to a different sport ... the nature of soccer is unpredictable and so impact will happen. Some wear body armour for contact sports like karate ... but I'm not an advocate of that ... it's up to you ... Lars, www.cardiacathletes.org
