Clarification
Posted by Cabg Patch on 2010-07-14 14:49

For the newbies, I just wanted to clarify a point that has caused much confusion in the past.

When going through airport security, the guards should either avoid the PM location or move a hand held wand over it quickly, but it's perfectly OK for them to linger during a pat down.

This Public service announcement is mine alone, and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of management

I would say its only ok for them to linger during a pat down if they were cute.

I agree with sereimund. I was very disappointed when I had to go to court one day and it was an older woman doing the screening.

Perfect timing

Yesterday I had to file some papers at the local courthouse. This was the first time I've been anywhere with a metal detector security station since the pm/defib. I put my purse on the conveyor belt and went right though the detector...I stupidly forgot...I gues that shows you can forget you have the device. I didn't cause the alarm to go off and I guess it's working because it went off on the guy behind me and they stopped him. Still didn't occur to me that I had walzed through a big "no no" until I got off the elevator at another floor. I called the tech, left a message and haven't heard from him yet. Any chance I could have damaged this thing? I can't believe I did that since I have joked about setting off alarms at airports.
