Back in the swing of things

Hello all - it's been way too long that I have been away from the site! I just wanted to shoot a quick note saying that Tuesday was 3 months to the day that I got my PM Whipper Snapper. I had been having problems, but about 4 weeks ago, my PM settings were adjusted where my HR couldn't fall below 65 and I have been feeling AMAZING!! I got released to exercise 2 weeks ago and am getting back into the swing of things after not exercising for a year, so that feels good too!! Anyway, I'll be around more regulary...hope everyone else is doing well!

I'm so glad to hear that you are doing so well now.

However, I am very curious about your lower setting being set at 65 as I wanted mine to be set at 65 as well and I was told I couldn't have that particular number or setting (whatever word you wanna use) because 65 was reserved for when our pacers go into battery save mode -when our pacers are nearing the end of their life and need to be replaced.

With all that being said, perhaps it's just my model that doesn't allow me to choose 65 - I have a Medtronic Enpulse.

Just curious as this question was raised before and a few other members were told the same thing by their EPs or Cardiologists and/or PM Techs.

I'd love to be able to have my pacer set at 65 that way I could perhaps over-ride my junctional rhythm issues.

And by the way - I absolutely LOVE what you called your pacer ....Whipper Snapper is just awesome!!

Take care,
Pookie
