A baby

I am not ready to have my second baby...right this instant... but the idea is starting to be discussed more and more. Maybe next year! Wondering what kind of preperations if any, I would need to do before I got pregnant as far as the PM goes.

I have a few other things to square away first LOL....but want to be ready!

I know some of you have had babies with a PM....please chime in and offer feedback!
THANKS

Having a pm is usually unrelated to having a baby! I did it twice. Maryanne had three, I think Gellia had two.

The meds you're on may affect things, you'll have to ask your dr about it.

And you will be off them before you know it!

But I was thinking you're also on a beta blocker, that's not something you can wean off and some of them can't be taken during pregnancy.

No beta

I don't take that anymore. That was a one time thing. They gave it to me to treat the inappropriate sinus tachy but after keeping a log for a month they deemed it appropriate tachy. Like when I was shoveling I hit 230-not good....but explainable because I was on the beta.

No more shoveling for me!

No probs for me

I've had my pm since I was 10, had my first baby at 21 and my second at 24. I am now 25. Both healthy full term baby girls. Other then the fact that my battery was low with the first one and they choose to wait until after I had her to replace it, everything was as it should have been. The dr's kept a close eye on me and both girls but everything went fine. They did a fetal echo during both pregnancies to make sure the girl's hearts were ok, which they were. And my dr.'s also choose to do c-sections to control the situation more, but everything went fine. They have noticed that the two pregnancies have cause my batteries to drain faster and I have a lead that is now going bad. Most likely it will be replaced next month. Other then a quick check up with your cardiologist, I'd say you should be set for baby # 2, Good luck!
