I have had my pacemaker since 01/2008 in my chest and for the last 2 or 3 days now I have had a pain about 1 to 2 inches away from the scar towards the middle of my chest is where the sharp pains come and go and then at the bottom of the pacemaker about 1/2 to 1 inch towards my breast I have a pain there when I touch that area... When I touch those spots it is like I'm stabbing myself with with something....
The one spot towards the middle of my chest is the size of a nickle and under the pacemaker is about 1&1/2 to 2 inches...
Should I call the doctor? Or has anyone had this type of pain before

 

 

I have had my PM for 10 yrs & nothing like this. Why wait? It could be anythjing or nothing. Best to know. Please call now.

I got my pacer put in 4/2008 so not long after you. Lately I have been having pains too. Around where the pacer is and several inches below the scar in my breast. It is sharp, but not terrible. It has been happening for a few days as well. I have been thinking of talking to my doc but I have an appointment for an interrogation at the beginning of next month for my every 6 mo check up. If you talk to your doc before I do, post and let us know what he/she says, I would be interested in hearing. If i hear from my doc before you do I will post. :)
