They use xray technology, not magnets, so they are ok for us.

The old scanners are a no no. The full body scanners use a different technology that is very low power and the answer is no. Always tell security before going through any scasnner as you do not know for sure what technology it is using or if it is safe. Peter

Wands are more dangerous for us than the metal detectors because it's the same technology but more concentrated, and they'll just beep. We need a pat down or the full body scanners.

Of course your heart may speed up a little when you realize the dude looking at the screen is seeing a nude photos of you. Since the photo doesn't have much resolution it will look about like a shadow photo to them. But like somebody said you can always ask for a hand job.
Pat-down

I've heard that the full body scan is OK. Nevertheless, I prefer telling the security people that I'd rather be submitted to a pat-down. You never know with technology and I've found over the years that what appeared safe yesterday no longer is safe today.
My wife and I just came back from a cruise and we had to go through security at each port of call. The security people are familiar with the Pacemaker ID cards and I've had no problem whatsoever in going around the metal detectors and being frisked. It even got me through the line faster.
