I had an ICD implanted on July 30th following "sudden death due to cardiac arrythmia" outside a hospital emergency room. The electrical impulse problem with my heart came as quite a surprise as did waking up in the trauma room surrounded by medical personnel.

I'm feeling fine and returned to work full-time on August 23rd. I'll be interested to read your messages/postings to learn about some of your experiences.

Sorry nobody has taken the time to welcome you, I'm not around much anymore but I would have expected someone to greet you.

So welcome to the club, sorry you had to get an ICD but it bought you free membership to our little club. Glad you're doing so well and already back at work, it's nice to know some people can make a full recovery and move on
