I'm new to my device--an ICD that was put in on 7/27/10. Feel free to PM me.

Take Care,

Jeff

I have DCM. Device implanted Feb 2010. It still creeps me out to feel of my chest and be able to feel where the leads come off, etc. I'm female, 57 yr old. From what the doctors have told me, they implanted as deeply as possible but it's quite noticeable because we females have less "fat" there than you guys. I'm on several meds: Ramipril, Carvedilol, Epilenone, Simvastatin, aspirin, and digoxin. I was healthy, active and no health issues. I apparently had a virus that did all the damage. I also have mitral valve leak with regurgitation. I don't know what the circumstances are/were that you needed one...all of us are unique and yet the same.
