Please we need your help! There are only 11 child heart surgeries in England, and only one for Yorkshire and Humber. This is now under threat of closure due to government cut backs. Please sign this petition where ever you live as all of you on here, know the importance of being in a familiar place near to family and home through such a difficult time. I hope things work out for you guys in Leeds. I know how worrying it must be. My husband & I moved with our 6 month old daughter from Norwich to Bristol predominantly because Bristol Childrens hospital was a centre of excellence for cardiology ( we also have family here) a few months ago. Then they said last week Bristol was under threat of closure... Thankfully it looks like it will be ok. But having spent 5 weeks at GT Ormond st with our daughter when she was born ( closest to Norwich) I understand the importance & reassurance of having a hospital nearby.. Good luck x
