Minnesota Timberwolves NBA guard Fred Hoiberg, who had surgery this summer to remove an aortic aneurysm, collapsed at home on and had a pacemaker implanted.
Hoiberg, 32, said doctors told him he fainted because too much fluid had built up in the area around his heart, restricting the blood flow to his head. Doctors said he may be able to resume his career but will miss most or all of next season.
