The Hospital for Sick Children cardiology department is having their annual gathering in September 2007. We would love to host a guest speaker who is also a famous (or not-so-famous) pacemaker recipient. We are looking for a sports person or a singer or someone who tends to be inspiring. We usually host a guest speaker, last year it was a magician, illusionist.
We have about 100 children and their families who attend. It is run by the fabulous medical team at HSC.
Is there any way to get in touch with someone who might be interested???

Where are you located? I don't know the letters HSC. This all sounds interesting I bet you can find someone good for this.

I have an email into the current Miss Massachusetts, Michaela Gagne to see if she can help. She does speaking engagements for Heartbeat International. Please email or private message me your contact information in case she is available.

Here is another suggestion. Why not have a former HSC cardiac patient who has a pacemaker speak to the crowed.

I am a former HCS Cardiac patient with a pacer. I also know two others that between the three of us one (myself) would probably be will to speak. If you are interested feel free to contact me either here or at ta-survivor@mountaincable.net.

I think it would be more inspiring to the patients and parents.

I love kids and pretty much still am one. I am 21 years old, I got my pacemaker/defib. in November of 2005. My whole life has been affected by pacemakers and heart problems. My mom had a pacemaker, a heart transplant, and eventually died in 2003. Two years later I found out I had artrial fib. and an enlarged heart. I try to be inspiring and find the best in things. I would love to be your guest. Contact me if you'd like.
