I am a new member today and I got more support from all of you then I got from my family. I went to a chat room for the first time ever and everyone was great. Thank you for all the information and for opening up to a stranger! If anyone wants to reply to my postings but to shy send me a Private Message.
Thanks,
Tiara

We are all just a group of good people that want to help each other out with support and answers that we can't get elswhere, and we can relate to each other as only pacers can.

Welcome to the site
. I had no one for support and came home from hospital and found this site. I have gained all my confidence from my PM Pals. I met Rewired Aussie (Kay) and we have become great friends. I am on the island of Tasmania and Kay is in Melbourne. We are off in two weeks time to meet Kay again and spend sometime together. We never stop laughing. I am sure it drives our husbands mad. This site is so good for support. It is great to have our questions answered. I will email you. I wish you a speedy recovery. Take it easy and you will feel better and stronger each day. It is all more traumatic to our bodies that we are given to believe. I really enjoyed our chat room session. First time I have caught Jessie. Keep in contact please you need our support and we need yours. We can all learn from each other.

As I see you already found out there are no strangers on this site! We like to think of ourselves as one big
"family". It does seem to take longer to recovery than you are lead to believe. The doctors always seem like take two aspirin and call me in the morning. If it was only so minor. Getting a PM or ICD is life changing for each one of us. But things do get better. I have had mine for 8 months and even though there was a day I thought about it,felt it every beat, when it kicked in,ect. I even forget I have one most the time. I know you are probably thinking YEA RIGHT! I felt that way too. Hope you start sleeping better. Is it because you can't get comfortable or are you having that much pain? My thoughts and prayers are with you,
Amy
glad folks were there for you

Well that is what this site is all about ...everyday people sharing their experiences and suggestions on how they have dealt with the PM or ICD's.
I am so glad you had a positive experience with this forum....
good health to you!
