Wii games
Posted by Donean on 2008-04-27 10:50

I had my PM put in last December. Last evening I was playing the Wii game with my family and started feeling light headed. When I stopped and took my pulse, it was low (54). My PM always keeps it right at 60. I read the Wii instruction book and it does say it can interfere with pacemakers. Has anyone else had this happen? It is only certain games, or all Wii games?
Thanks anyone for your comments!

I've played the Wii several times and have never had a problem. You just are not supposed to go in between the Wii controllers and the sensor. I just stay behind and have fun! Ps I've had a pm since '95. The Wii is fun

Wii and your PM

I have never heard of that....but if after reading the Wii instructions and they specify if you have a PM you should not use...chances are they are right. I don't know the mechanical components of the Wii but if it has a magnet or high microwaves frequencylike cell towers for example) then I suggest you stay away from it. What happens is it interferes with your electrical components, basically it's like putting a magnet on your PM and making your heart do it's own thing....removing yourself from the source will resolve this issue....it is worthwhile however to mention to your doctor so when you have your next PM check up they can make sure that setting weren't affected. Please keep us posted.....cheers!

Hi there.
Not had our Wii long but play it long and hard.
I stand where ever I happen to be jumping around. LOL.
Never had any untoward feelings. I just make sure the controller is 6 inches away from PM site.
Hope you get to the bottom of this, and can continue Wii-ing.
