Asthma

I recently got diagnosed with having asthma. I was wondering if anybody else has this and if it has messed with your heart from medications at all.
It is nice knowing that I am not crazy when I continue to say I am sob but it took having a big spell for a regular dr to tell me that he assumes I have had it for a while. Though, the inhaler that he gave me one of the side effects says it can raise your h.r. I was wondering if this has happened to anybody? Thanks!

Hi Tammy

I suffer from asthma usually viral. The ventolin makes my heart feel weak. The same thing happened to me I had had asthma for a while. Get your doc to do an asthma plan for you. Hope you go well sincere wishes

Tammy,

I was diagnosed with asthma about 5 months ago. My doctor started me on Advair at first, and it really affected my heart rate. Then he switched me to Flovent, and I have no troubles since as far as the asthma medications are concerned.

Any question, please feel free to message me.

Amanda

Might not be true asthma as poor heart function often causes fluid build up in the lungs and simulates a "fake asthma". Cheers Peter

Hi Tammy,

My son has Asthma diagnosed when he was 4 years old he is now 17 , which we don't have many attacks as we used to . We have taken the Advair, and we would do breathing treatments, soI understand . However my dad has a PM and was also diagnosed with COPD. He takes breathing treatments and also takes Advair. So far so good with treatment. Peter is a very smart man because lot of the times dads breathing was not the copd it was the CHF. We have gotten a new DR Who now is questioning if dad really has copd. My sons heart rate would go up after taking a breathing treatment, but i have not heard dad say his would. Dad takes about 3 to 4 breathing treatments a day and Puffs on his Advair twice a day, Advair is a steriod which helpson building up lungs. Take care , hope everything goes good for you! God Bless! Shelley

Cardiac Asthma

Before I had my ICD implanted three weeks ago, I had Cardiac Asthma. I haven't been bothered with it since the implant. Ask your doctor about Cardiac Asthma. I had to do a lot of research before I found this diagnosis, but when I asked my doctor he was aware.

Good luck
Linda

btw; I treated my asthma with natural herbs. It worked great and I didn't have the side effects. Check with a holistic doctor.
