Hi Charleene
I don't know wether working in a hospital is an advantage or disadvantage when it come to being treated? For my part my implant was my first visit to a hospital so I had the nerves of not knowing but also the advantage of not knowing. Does that make sense??
Either way my thoughts will be with you in the morning.
Welcome to this little club and post as soon as you can and let us know how you are.
Chrissie
Me too!

Hi Charleene,
I am also getting an ICD put in this afternoon. It's now 5:30 AM here in Indiana. The surgery isn't scheduled until 2PM. I am having a final bowl of cereal, so I can get that damn Coreg med down and not feel queezy. Then I am off to the golf course for one last round of golf for the next month. I would rather be out there then sitting at home thinking about food.
I volunteer in the ER at out local hospital. In fact, I was in last night and walked by the EP lab several times, thinking about today. Fortunately, my girlfriend is a nurse, and I have several other close friends who are nurses, so they will be supporting me.
Good luck today and let's compare notes when we come out the other side.

Best of luck to both of you....you will be in my heart(I have room) and in my prayers.
Don't forget to listen to your body and don't push yourself too much.
Let us know how you feel and if we can answer any questions for you.
Hugs,
Kathy
