I got my pacemaker back in April 2008 and along the way, someone mentioned that you can get a sticker for your passport that confirms you have a pacemaker. I have my ID card as well but am wondering if anyone has heard of these stickers and if so, where do you get them? Thanks!

I just got my passport renewed, so this is new info! I would be very interested, too. I will call the state department and see if they can give me any info...then I'll post back with an answer. Unless someone beats me to it!

I photocopied the pm card details I have and stuck it into my passport. I found it was a quick way to ensure all knew and was another safe place to keep my details if I lost my everyday purse with my card.

These are both great ideas! I wonder if we have a sticker here in Canada. I am backpacking in Europe in the fall and am really nervous about the ICD being a problem at airports, borders etc!
The Medtronic website has a travel section where you can download and print off a card that tells people you have an ICD in 6 different languages. I will definitely be getting that and putting it with my passport!
all the best,

I was in Egypt recently and had the hardest time cause there are metal detectors everywhere. I had a letter from my doctor about my PM translated into Arabic so they could read it. Best freaking idea I have ever done.
