Hi Everyone,
I just got out of the hospital for the second time in a week went in last Tuesday got out on Saturday then went in on Monday and back out yesterday.
Just wondering if it is possible for the leads of my pm could be rubbing on anything to be causing this.
They told me that there is only two causes for this to be coming back alcohol and gallbladder I don't drink and had my gallbladder taken out in 89 so I am puzzled.
Thanks
Denise

Hi Denise-
I had pancreatitis when I was 24. I am 31 now. I am very active and in good shape except for some baby weight that won't ever seem to go away :-)
Alcohol and gallbladder were the 2 causes that they tried to present to me and neither one applied to me. I only have a drink on a rare occasion and had my gallbladder checked many times with no problems. They even tried to pin it on birth control pills but never could decide what caused it. I had to be very careful to stay away from fatty foods and anything with grease for a long time. Lots of water seemed to help.
I just received my ICD in June so I can't speak as to if your device would irritate something. But I can't think of how it would be near enough though. If you are concerned about it you should talk to your Dr and they can always do a quick x-ray to see where the leads are and make sure everything is where is should be.
I hope you are feeling better and pain free soon!

My son had 2 acute attacks of pancreatitus when he was 13 years old. Unfortunately, it destroyed his pancreas and he's a type 1 diabetic as a result. Of course he wasn't a drinker, and his gallbladder was fine. They told me that his pancreas was attacked by a virus.I know how very painful this is and I hope you are doing better! Keep an eye on your blood sugar. My son developed his diabetes after the 2 attacks!
All the best!

When my first sign of fatty liver viewed on ultrasound, I was on Flecainide and Verapamil. I off everything and it corrected by itself after one year. Now, they said I got diabetes and high cholestrol so pumped in some more drugs....... Don't know I would get this words later: "Your cholestrol and diabetes controlled very well but you need a new liver!" Some how my pancreas was damaged. It can't produce insulin correctly.
Check out and adjust it yourselves. You may find the problems resolve.
