Hi there
my 2yr old has just had her 1st pacemaker fitted (she has complete heart block amongst other things). we are taking her to meet mickey mouse as a reward for being so brave. does anyone know how i can judge if the rides are safe for her/her pacemaker.

Many thanks

At two, I don't think she's tall enough to get on any of the rides she shouldn't! They will have signs that tell you which rides are not for pm's. In the US parks, they use a little heart icon. They're clearly marked at the same place they have the height restrictions.

fyi for when she's older and more adventurous... The signs are really, really conservative and many of the rides are safe for us even if it says not to get on. I don't do roller coasters because I don't like them, but I get on all sorts of other stuff that it says not to and I've never had a problem.
There are people here who ride everything and don't worry about it.

Enjoy your trip!

How long?

How long has she had her PM? I'm with Tracey and wouldn't worry as long as she's at least a few months post op.

she will be ok
