FYI - Recording

I recently posted a question whether an ICD or PM would record a Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack). Thanks for the two posts. Thought some members would like to know what I got back from the ICD manufacturer today.

Maybe. If the heart rate goes above the set point during the heart attack. But, the doctor would not be able to identify the episode as a heart attack just based on the readout.

In otherwords, it would register as an arrythmia

That means the only other way they would know for sure is if they did blood work and or a chest x-ray.

Thanks. That is very interesting and good to know.
