I know i've already talked to some of you and how so many of you have helped me with everything lately. I had my appointment today to see what else they can do for me the options aren't so exciting. My SA Node seriously has a mind of it's own. The SA seriously thinks that it can overpower everything else.
I go in for another ablation on June 19th. I feel like i'm a pro now at these. The doctor said that they see that having two happens some but three times doesn't happen as often. Has anybody else had three of them done?
I'm not excited about having this procedure done though I know that the doctors know what they are doing. I could experiment around with medications once again but nothing seems to lower the heart rate. I decided to go for the surgery because I want to be able to do things again without being so weak.
So if y'all could please say a prayer for me that I don't get too overwhelmed over everything right now I would really appreciate it. Oh and Valerie I haven't got an update yet please tell me how everything went? Thanks for all the encouragement.
I am so blessed to have the support from all of you and thank you for helping me on this chapter of my life.

Blessings to all of you!

"Help, I need somebody,
Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone, help."

Great, thanks a lot Tammy; now I got that song stuck in my head :)

Of course you’re not excited about going through this, but hopefully this will fix your psycho SA node.
So, will they have to implant a different pacemaker after the ablation (or during), or is the one you have now okay?
You will most assuredly have many prayers that day (and now too, actually).
Take care,

Four times nothing.

Hi Tammy.

I've had 4 ablations, all of them unsuccessful, the last one was AV nodal ablation, and pacer implantation.
My doctor has even mentioned the possibility of more ablation. So apparently, it's not that uncommon, and there are no guaranties.
I still take medications, it takes a while to find the right balance. Don't get discouraged, it seems like your doctors know what could work for you. Everybody is different, you could be the lucky one.
Think good thoughts, we are all here for you.
I'll keep you in my thoughts.
Take care,
~ Dominique ~

Three Times and still no cigar!

Hi there, This is my first time posting on the web site, I have been sitting in silence just reading and learning. I received my PM in January of this year. I have A Flutter since 1993 and this is the first time my heart has actually been beating properly since. I do have massive scar tissue inside, so the 3 ablations were really not a success, but he burned and burned until it stopped fluttering. The last one was 6.5 hours on the table and it was after the PM installation. I have been doing real good with the PM, just growing pains with it and not trusting a thing with the heart. I am on a lot of medications and the PM is doing all the work, set at 85 right now, hoping that it will be able to be lowered soon. Good luck and stay in touch, there are a lot of great people out here with many years of experience. I send a prayer out to each and everyone of you and thanks for the support you really did not know that you have been providing to me and everyone else. I count all of you as family. Jake
