Anyone aware of developing lupus after having pacemaker fitted

As Gemita said, Lupus can cause us to need a pacer. It's more likely the Lupus was undiagnosed earlier.
There is also a link between moms with Lupus and children born with av block.

Thank you for reply , I was aware that lupus can cause heart issues but not the other way round .
I have not been diagnosed with lupus yet and I am waiting for tests but I have the facial rash

Peter, are you suggesting that the pacemaker could cause Lupus? I see it rather that Lupus could be a reason why we might need a pacemaker because Lupus can adversely affect the heart which might then require pacing.
I see from your earlier post that you described a facial rash? Have you now been officially diagnosed with Lupus which is an auto immune inflammatory condition which can affect many organs? Lupus can be very difficult to diagnose. Lupus can be controlled during flare ups with lifestyle changes and with medication. I hope this proves to be the case for you if you have been diagnosed with Lupus?
