I was just getting ready to reply to a post here when it occurred to me that I am not in the specified age range!!! My question is; when did I get old? Every since I got my PM I feel as if I were 45! I feel great most of the time.

I just started working my own design business, I have traveled so much this year that I woke up the other day wondering where I was and I have almost forgotten that I even have a PM. :-)

I was reminded a few weeks ago because the battery is running low and it will need to be replaced soon. But for today I am just fine.

It took some adjusting, both PM wise and mentally, but I feel really good. I get A-fib, I have bouts of tacky, which is mostly controlled by my meds but I am not restricted in any other areas. I sleep well at night and keep my hubby happy too.

Life is good, my heart is keeping up and I have made a ton of friends. I am so thankful for the life I have post pacemaker placement and the Pacemaker Club.

Our bodies might be aging, but they can't make our minds keep up!!!! Age is just a number and you're only as old as you think you are, that's my grandmother's favorite saying. She's 88, very much young at heart, and can run circles around most people half her age. I wanna be just like her when I grow up!

Reading your comment made me think of walking through the market at Ybor City and getting questions about our Pacer Chicks on Tour tshirts... and the shocked looks when we'd say that all of us have pacemakers. Gee, did we forget to look old and feeble!? LOL

On days where I'm not feeling so hot, I've finally gotten to the point where I tell people so if they ask how I'm doing.
The thing that irritates me is their response when I tell them that I don't feel well, they say. "Well you look good!"

What is a heart patient supposed to look like? And the funnier thing is when after a procedure they tell me how much better I look, how I have more color, and the circles around my eyes aren't quite as dark. The funny thing is that they told me that I looked just fine before my procedure. LOL. I've discovered that most of the people that I run into are full of crap. If they don't know what to say, I'd just rather them say nothing at all. LOL.

Each time you drive the 911 you get younger! The speed, excitement, concentration and raw power all work together to make you younger!!! Keep on keepin on. Keep it tuned up and let hubby detail it for you(detailing is a favorite activity for me....nothing like a hand rubbed car!) Have the greatest day!!!
