I am on perindopril and beta blockers, do these drugs make you put on weight?

cause weight gain. I am fighting this with portion control. Cutting usual meal bt 1/2 and at times by 1/4. Not very satisfying but it works. Also cutting salt and using Lasik(the P drug) Good luck!

In answer to your question, yes beta blockers can cause weight gain. I myself put on 10 pounds! I did some research on the beta blocker I am taking and one of the not so nice side effects is weight gain. I also checked your medication and it shows weight gain as well. :(
So I guess we have to look at the whole picture and see what we should do. I usually do my research and then talk to my dr. about what I have found and get his opinion. Then we decide what is good for me. I am not always so sure as to what to do about the side effects. I am not a dr, but like you, I am the one who has to deal with medication side effects.
