links to A-Fib

Whatever will help I hope,
I have A-fib, and I truly believe that my A-fib might be caused directly from a combination of 2 overprescribed medications.
Theadur and Prednosone (steriod), and snezzing.
My Physicians also told me that they could hear a heart murmur or echo.
At the time, I was 250 lbs, in a aleregy enriched area, and had been hospitolized twice within a 6 month period.
Before I can file for any compensation, I need a cardiologist to agree with the relationship.
Is there anyone who can help me.
Tim

I looked up Theadur and this is the first side effect listed and it occurs in 16% of cases.

"Irregular heartbeats - atrial tachycardia (rapid heartbeats that start in the minor chamber of the heart called the "atria" - may cause "fluttering" feeling in the chest/palpitations; shortness of breath; fatigue with exertion; leg swelling; chest pain/angina) occurs in 16% of cases"

A couple of months ago there was a discussion about allergy and cold medicines and one of the allergy drugs I was taking had atrial fibulation listed as as side effect. Nearly all the cold and allergy drugs had irregular heart beat as a side effect.

Here is the link to that post.

I use this web sit to check the side effects and drug interactions of my drugs.

If you do have allergy, you might try zrytec, it is now sold over the counter and is OK for heart patients. (at least my Doctor says so)

One zyrtec side effect is fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat

When I stopped taking all allergy medications my allergies got a lot worse for a few weeks and now my allergies are almost gone.

A few months ago I looked up some medications and came up with this list. I have taken all these medications.

---- Allergy medications ----

* Astelin
Irregular heartbeat - atrial fibrillation
Fast pulse/rapid heart rate (uncommon)
High blood pressure (uncommon)
NOTE: Atrial fibrillation is not listed as uncommon

* Afrin nasel sprays - an irregular or fast heartbeat.
* Sudafed Om Sinus nasel spray - an irregular or fast heartbeat
* claritin - fast or uneven heart rate
* zyrtec - fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat
* sudafed - chest pain
* Benadryl
Huge list of side effects
Allergic reactions (may include a sudden severe drop in blood pressure; rapid heart rate;
Fast pulse/rapid heart rate

---- Cold medicine ----

* nyquil - fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat, slow, shallow breathing;
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is one of the two drugs mentioned at the beginning of this post by Ruesado. Notice the huge list of side effects and the one with heart problems is listed first.

You know you're wired when...

You can finally prove that you have a heart.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
