I tried to post a comment to your message a couple of times, but it kept telling me that I had the wrong spam filter, I checked it several times, but was not able to get it to work... Well, here I go again...
I sometimes feel like you said: 'all of this is a little harder to take than I first thought'. One reason for that may be that the doctors kept referring to the pm implantation as a minor issue that is just a small routine procedure. Their attitude made me think that what is the matter with me, because with all the pains and complications, I was not able to think of all of this as a minor issue. I certainly did not recover 'in one day' and still sometimes have bad days. The doctors did not prepare me for any possible feelings of fear or insecurity beforehand and have offered very little or close to no emotional support afterwards. I felt that they just pushed me out of the hospital and left me totally alone to figure everything else out. Finding this club has been really helpful for me, so if I can offer you a little support in saying that I believe many of us understand how you feel, I will be more than happy to do that. Take care!
