sleeping on side

I am wondering how long one must wait before sleeping on the side of the pacemaker - mine is only 18 days old and I am still rather worried about harming it. Thanks for your input - Di

sleeping

If it doesn't hurt, go for it because you won't hurt the pm. You need to keep your arm lower than shoulder level for 6 weeks, that's it for precautions. I slept either on my back holding a pillow under my left arm, or on my opposite side hugging a pillow.

Just a bit longer!

As much as possible I tried to wait a month. After that I knew the wires were set. And it didn't hurt to lay on that side. Before that when I rolled over to that side it would wake me up. Bowlrbob

The TraceyE test

I used the TraceyE test. If it don't hurt, don't worry about it. The only way you are going to harm it is by stretching your arm over your head. You are probably less likely to do that if you are sleeping on that side.
