Bye

This will be my final message. The Pacemaker Club doesn't need me and I will say the same for the Pacemaker Club

It seems I posted something today about the Obamacare bill that was passed last night that didn't pass muster. I didn't think it was anything derogatory. It was the address for a film clip I found on Youtube. So far as I know it did not cause any rude exchanges. Don't see how it could have since it was visible for only a few hours.

Some enterprising soul had taken excerpts from the bill and gave a verbal description. They also gave page and line number for verification.

There was nothing personal in the post. I can guarantee I have seen postings that were many times worse, but it makes no difference now. So be careful out there now, or you may have your messages unceremoniously yanked too.

If any one wants to contact me they I suggest they try jb32837@gmail.com because I will not be able to retrieve message here after this is posted.

Y'all have fun.

J.B.

sorry

by sam78 - 2010-03-23 03:03:48

Well I am sorry that Pacemaker club has not been helpful for you. Everyone has strong feelings regarding the health care reform.. and I do not feel like this is the place to discuss politics.

I agree with laduena

I might have been one of the reasons this posting was yanked, but since the author is referring to the health care bill as "Obamacare," and since one of responses here dives in with Limbaugh and Hannity, I'm going to repeat what I said to the post -- i.e. give us a break. We all have different political viewpoints, and we don't need to air them here.

Let's set the record straight

I've only deleted three messages recently. One did not meet our terms of use and the other two were deleted because the member who posted them requested that they be removed.

Your Obamacare remark was a reply or comment to one of the messages mentioned above. Since the original message was deleted, your comment no longer has a message under which to be displayed. For this reason, it no longer appears on the site. It has not been removed from our database.

I hope this clarifies your concern and eliminates your reason for saying bye.

J.B. I am sorry to hear that you are leaving the club. This really is a great place to get help with PM questions.

I do agree with Sam78, as every person on this site may have verry dfferent political opinions...no one should be bashed based on their political views!

I do hope you stay on this site,

Christine

I don't beg people to stay on message boards. If you feel strongly about your reason for leaving, then bye.
I do thank our board monitor or whomever for keeping this board a friendly place we can share war stories & ask for help & understanding.
I haven't been here that long, but with people like Electric Frank & his knowledge & others with their compassion, it's a great place.

Stick around...

There are many strange things going on right now. One is the news media. Stick with FOX, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly and most of all Michael Savage!

Acceptance

by ppt - 2010-03-23 10:03:25

I wish the entire human race would accept others. I used to be terribly judgmental. My Godmother (who was really "my mother") and I would had so many discussions about the "harmony of differences". I just feel like this is the time to share that phrase. We are each unique. We are each special in our own way. We all have strengths and weaknesses and opinions. That's what makes the world go round and round. Hooray I say! Cheers all. J>B> Please reconsider and stay.

I somewhat understand and dont

I didnt see the post so I cant really condon or condem there must have been something because our moderrator is a very fair and caring person. I doubt that it was removed because of the "Obamacare" Label, I for one think that this is of concern to people of the US, I read alot of comments from other members from Canada and Europe that to me tell nightmares of health care done by the government, and I for one am not ready to have that here but its here, I hope it doesnt end up like some of the stories Ive heard on here. And our president did spear head this very strongly.....with alot of negitive from the american people and it still passed??????

let's not be onioned skinned...

by Cheldhaye Chill Day - 2010-03-24 07:03:18

well, since i promise myself to be part of this club even with my busy life to show my gratitude for the extended help of the devoted members of the club.. i really want to share thoughts and my point of view::: as for JB who bid goodbye to the club because he probably feel bad about the post that was being deleted and somehow touches his ego...i suggest JB to reconsider his decisions....we are friends here and somehow can be considered a family...so it is high time to make one thing a priority and that is to open and broaden our minds and try not to be onioned skinned after all, different ideas with little arguments is a sign of a healthy discussion....I do agree with laduena that we are here BCOZ OF ONE COMMON CAUSE AND THAT IS TO SHARE AND HELP PM PEOPLE LIKE US..we should have to set aside political view or political inclinations because we have different political opinions....and to the admin...i am glad you stood firm on the rules and regulations of the site to keep us on tract....it is always necessary to abide the implementing guidelines to regulate discussions and further conflict.....and to all PM club members...we should not think of ourselves alone because out there ...there are many people who needs our help through this site...good luck and allah bless us all

Censoring ~ ~

by Carolyn65 - 2010-03-24 12:03:53

When my heart Dr. suggested a PM for me last May, 2009, I was in a state of traumatic panic, to say the least! I had never really been ill nor "weak". I felt in the dark, alone, scared; the end of my world with no answers! My Dr. sure did not share enough info.

Getting on Google, of which I am not commuter smart, I stumbled upon the PM Club. What a Blessing my "stumble" has brought me. I can have instant peace of mind and not wait for days/weeks wondering about my questions/thoughts/concerns and get good, educated opinions from experienced members.

This is just one of the few places heart related people can come and share a same denominator/different experiences without having to be involved in political hassles/daily unrests of which we have to deal with in the medias. Keep on censoring, please.

Thank you Blake for creating and nurturing such a pleasant, calming place to talk PM/heart/etc. Please always keep your PM goals in line for what the PM Club stands for. This is a place of serenity of which I can come to and find answers on the subject: PM.

Common Health Concerns

by cruz - 2010-05-12 09:05:42

I found the website because our common denominator is a PM, not our political views. There are many other forums that you can vent or try to persuade others to your political views. I don't want suggestions as to what political TV personality to watch and was more offended by being told to watch only Fox News. I would like to be able to express a concern about sleeping problems or a perceived problem with my diagnosis, without advice about my political affiiation or beliefs. That's not what I thought this forum addressed. I'm new to PM community and need advice on PM concerns. I don't need advice on my political views. There are plenty of other places on the internet to argue about the Healthcare Reform, but few to address PM concerns.

I didn't know Obamacare had a negative connotion

by kathykat11 - 2010-10-23 09:10:39

I like the fact that this site is for PM people. Since I am a military spouse soon to be an ex military spouse Obamacare has seemed like a positive when compared to no care at all which is what someone in my financial straits can afford. I have always used the term in the context of I hope Obamacare happens soon so that I can stop stalling the divorce.... I am sorry that anyone would leave do to a misunderstanding but I am glad you are here for me.
