stem cell

Hi everyone.
, here in Australia today the Sunday paper had a piece on stem cell research, apparently one of the big hospitals in Melbourne are close to having us do away with our pacemakers. Has anyone else heard about such a thing?

Well I am going to keep mine safely tucked in. I think we are a very long way off getting our hearts fixed by this technology. Look what has happened to genetic medicine all those promises and no real progress.
Stiil we can all live and hope. A positive attitude certainly helps. Cheers Peter

there's a lot going on in this field which i think is providing an alternative to heart transplant. the adilt stem cell companies which perform the operations come from bone marrow, muscle tissue, a universal cell, and john hopkins has even taken biopsies of the heart muscle to generate your own heart cells to be reimplanted. it's amazing stuff and is advancing quickly

i've amassed quite a lot of information on the subject and companies. you can read up on all this at

i personally am awaiting acceptance for a clinical trial with gene therapy and if i won the lottery, i'd be paying for the procedure right away
