what depth to dive?

I want to go diving down to 100 feet? Is there any problem? I have a medtronic Adapta Dr, model ADDR01. It is rarely used, as I have a very slow normal heart beat. It is set at 40 BPM, and works mostly when I sleep. With any activity I am over 40 and my body works fine at this slow heart rate...tx

Call Medtronics

We have had this question several times in the past. You might be able to search the forum for those posts, but the easiest way is to call Medtronics at the number on your ID card. They are friendly and very helpful. I can't remember the depth, but diving was OK above it.

Diving depth

by Selwyn - 2011-11-12 07:11:49

I used to dive before my PM. Depth does vary with device, as Electric Frank say manufacturers have the information. Mind is safe to 20 metres. I don't dive. Why? Most group dives are below this depth. I don't want to pressure test the PM to the limit. The dive gear may well rub on the PM. May have an arrhythmia under water and be a liability to my dive buddies- be aware as to the reason for your PM.
Can you get insurance?
Sold my dry suit and have kept wet suit for snorkeling- some of my best underwater photos are in the shallows where the light is good. Have kept my underwater camera and am looking forward to using it next summer.

Take Care,
Selwyn

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
